Jorge Posada is Catching CC after an injury to Russell Martin

Every Yankees would know that Jorge Posada’s for the entire 2011 season so far was to be a primary Designated hitter all season. So far this year, He’s been struggling as a DH and recently lost his Designated hitter role to the Yankees Young Top Catcher Jesus Montero . It wasn’t until the bottom of the 3rd inning a game against the Angels that is where Jorge Posada has replaced starting Catcher Russell Martin who left the game with a thumb injury.

Currently, right now Yankees backup Catcher Francisco Cervelli was supposed to be in the original Lineup  for Tonight’s game against the Angel unfortunately was scratch hour before the game with Concussion symptoms after having the collision at homeplate with Nick Markakis of the Orioles and he’s excepting to be sent for Impact test. The Yankees didn’t want to take a chance with Montero from DHing to Catching early in the game. Because if they decide to have Jesus Montero from being a DH to Catcher in middle of the Game the Yankees will basically lose the DH and have CC batting in the game. Having Jorge Posada Catching was the only option that the Yankees have right now. We’ll see what other option the Yankees have for the catching Department for the Next few games with both Russell Martin and Francisco Cervelli probably be out for the next few games.

The Realignment of Major League Baseball Team

It’s been a long time coming in Major League baseball to start making some changes between Leagues. They have been considering of an Idea of taking one of the National leagues team and moving them to American Leagues. I think this plan is best idea that Major League baseball has ever had since the Team Expansion back in the 1998 as well as the start of Interleague back in 1997. Here’s my take on this idea. This Idea would definitely even out the playing field in each league with 5 teams per divisions and 15 teams per league. Currently right American League only has 14 teams while the National League teams have 16 team. It actually makes the American league in a disadvantage when it comes to the all star game and chances of getting into the playoff. AL west only has 1 0f 4 chances to make the postseason while the NL Central has 1 out of 6 teams has a chance. Major League baseball has an idea of having the Houston Astros or the Arizona Diamondback moving to American League to even league out the game. I’ll be surprised if it actually happens sometime this offseason as well as for the 2012 season. Hopefully that team owners, players union and Major League Baseball might come to terms to make things interesting but currently its hard to say.

My Take on Robinson Cano from Last Nights Games.

Last night game against the Kansas City Royals where the Yankees lost to them in Eleven innings. Robinson Cano left the game after the ball thrown by Royals Right-Handed Pitcher Nate Adcock hit on the side of Cano’s helmet. It was a scary moment for the Yankees and Manager Joe Girardi to see one of the best Second baseman in the game going down with a head injury. The Last thing that every Yankee fans wanted to hear that Robbie is been placed on the 7-Day Disabled List.

Robbie left the Stadium to go to a Local Hospital nearby to get a CT-Scan and the Results of the CT-scan out negative and his currently list as Day to Day. I feel relieve that Robinson Cano is going to be okay after last night Moment up to bat. Last thing I ever want to see is any batter getting hit in the head by a pitcher regardless if they play with the Yankee or not. It’s something that can put any batter whose coming up to bat can be at risk of a head injury that can end their career or possible end their lives. This is a serious issue in Baseball for Years. No body on any team want hear one of player die from a head injury. Getting hit in the head with a baseball is no joke. As a Fan of the Game, It’s something I would never be happy about because getting hit in the head with a baseball could be very dangerous to a players head.
I did recall back in March 6th, 2010 during spring training game in Tampa Florida where Yankees Back-up Catcher Francisco Cervelli left the game with a Concession in the Third Inning a spring training game against the Toronto Blue Jays. It something that do not want to laugh it something you not want it to happen to anybody regardless of what Team they play for. Many players like Minnesota Twins first baseman Justin Morneau and New York Mets Outfielder Jason Bay each had suffered a concession during the regular season and as a result of it both of them ended their 2010 campaign because of head injuries.
As a fan of the game, I would like know what is your take on players getting hit by pitch at their heads and do you think that the pitcher who threw that pitch should to be giving a suspension for throwing a pitch at a batters head? In my opinion if it’s done purposely then I would like for them to be given a 5-game suspension for that kind of action. If the pitcher accidently threw at the batter would only should be given at least 2 to 5 game suspension depending on the severity of the incident.
Please reply to my blog and giving me your take on head injuries and how to prevent batter from getting hurt.

It’s Been a Long Time

To All of my Fellow Yankee Fans it been a long time since I did my last blog. I’m back and getting ready for this upcoming homestand with Kansas City and Boston in New York.

How Amazing is Brett Gardner is for the Yankees

Q:Have you ever seen in Outfielder that can throw out runners and can run fast enough to get a insider the park Home-run?

A: I did when I was watching the Yankees recently. New York Yankees Outfielder Brett Gardner who was bought up last summer from the minors. Gardner had thrown out runners like Dustin Pedroia last summer in game 3 of a four game set at the Old Yankee Stadium. But the most famous hits that he was known for was the 10th inning walk off  2 single on July 6th 2008 off of Red Sox Closer Jonathan Papelbon. In three Recent game Brett Gardner make great impression to the fans and teammates. In Game 2 of a three game set against Toronto Blue Jays Gardner hit his first career home-run in the second inning as the Blue Jays Starting Pitcher Scott Richmond and the third game he help out Yankees Pitcher CC Sabathia by Throwing out Blue Jays Rod Barajas at home plate in the 5th inning. I alway thought that that either Gardner and Red Sox Jacoby Ellsbury would least get a inside the park home-run  since both players have the speed to do it. Tonight I witness in the bottom of the 7th inning w/ 2-outs Brett Gardner up to plate against Twins pitcher Jesse Crain and with a 0-2 count Gardner hit a line drive to left and run so fast around the base and suddenly made to home plate with a inside the park home-run. Wow is that Amazing by Brett Gardner or what?
Here is my question for the Fans:
Do u believe that Brett Gardner can able to hit another inside the park again in his Career?
1) yes
2) no
3) Maybe

We shall see and let Go Yankees !!!

The Confession of a Baseball Player (The A-Rod Admission)

In the past two days there was a story about Alex Rodriguez taking Steroids back when he was playing with Texas. Some of us, may not know the whole story about a Major League Player, until we get the really facts from the players themselves. Some people may think that A-Rod is a lair and cheater. You can tell that a Player is a lair or a cheater if they never admitted to their mistakes. Alex knew something that some of us may or may not know about him. Back in the Days that he was playing for the Texas Rangers he used to do illegal substance. His darkest Secret has finally released today in a Interview with Peter Gammons of ESPN.

A-Rod confessed that what he did back then was wrong and stupid. Back at the time between the late 1980′s and 2003, it was a different culture and most of us didn’t know about until late 2003 when Jason Giambi testify to the Grand Jury and admitted that he also taken steroids. Between the year when playing for the Texas Rangers, Rodriguez did it out of being greed, selfish and the amount of the pressure that he has on himself back then. He knew what he did was wrong and Stupid and he did apologized and tell the Viewers that he was young, stupid and naive for something that he really regret.
Do I believe that A-Rod is one of the Greatest players all time even though that he used to do banned Substances? Yes I do believe he is no matter what did in the past he is still one of the greatest players of the game. Anybody who have done these things before know it better to confess about the past and seek hope for a better future. I believe that A-Rod did the right thing by admitting his mistake and take it like honest person. Look back at Last year when Andy Pettitte admitted that he used HGH back in 2002. He also knew that what he did was wrong and he also regrets of doing it.
Unlike A-Rod,Giambi and Pettitte there are at least three former players that will not admitted their own mistake and keep on denied. Barry Bonds and Roger Clemen have really ruined their Legacy and pretty much have to face prison. As for Mark McGwire he can say goodbye his chances of getting into the Hall of Fame after telling the the Grand Jury in 2005 that “I’m not here to talk about the past.”
For next nine years in A-Rod ‘s Yankee Career, are going be better and I hope a lot of people will understand that Alex is a kind of player that understand if he didn’t admitted his mistake his legacy is going to be tarnish forever. Can Alex Rodriguez restore everything back to place in baseball history and restore his legacy as one of the greatest player of all time? All I have to say, We shall see what happens next only time will tell. For now, lets get ready for the 2009 Season.

From the past couple of weeks was fun and sad at the same time. On July 5th 2008 Me and My Boyfriend Mike attended a game @ Yankee Stadium against the AL East Rivals the Boston Red Sox and it fun. My favorite Moment in the game is when Brett Gardner throw out Dustin Pedroia in first inning and Mike Mussina Strikeout Manny Ramirez in the 5th. I was glad that the Yankees Won the game with the score of 2-1.

On Saturday July 12th, The New York Yankees has lost of the most best Former Yankee Player and Broadcaster Bobby Murcer. Murcur died from a battle with Brain Cancer. Bobby

Yankees are going Hard Rock @ the new Stadium

Next year, The New York Yankees are going to
open the new Hard Rock Cafe and New restaurant called NYY
Steak. these restaurants are going to located on the right
field. I’m very excited because when the New Stadium opened
it would be the second ball park to have a hard rock cafe.
The Other hard rock cafe is at the Skydome in Toronto where
the Toronto Blue Jays plays. I can’t wait to go the new
Stadium next baseball season.

Vote for Hideki Matsui for All Star DH and Continue to Vote for the Yankees

Attention Yankee Fans,

Please give Hideki Matsui enough votes to put him in the starting line up for the American League in the 2008 All Star game as a DH. Even Although David Ortiz is in the lead with the Most votes and just been put on the DL, but I’m not so sure How long Ortiz be on the DL and be ready for the All Star Game. Right Now, Matsui is the best hitter in the American League with a batting  average of .330. Right now Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez are more likely going to be in the All Star Game. It would be nice to add another Yankees bat in the American League line up in July for a summer classic in the Bronx. Please Continues voting for the Yankees to participate a Final All Star game at the Stadium this July before the Team moves across street for the 2009 season.
Thank You for your Support, I’ll See you next time
